Helm AG, a Hamburg-based Company, became 30% shareholder in Amarin in September 2010. Helm is one of the world's major independent chemicals marketing enterprises with branches and sales offices in more than 30 countries.

Since its participation as shareholder in Amarin, Helm has been in charge of the licensing/marketing activities for the products developed by Amarin.

Amarin business opportunities are, among others, focused on three main areas:

• Finding new partners for the existing projects.
• Developing new products on request.
• Technology Transfer Agreements.

Amarin is presently carrying on discussions with different companies in order to develop or license different products under the Amarin patented technology.
